Lahmad holds special prayer for late father in Ilorin (PHOTOS)

Prominent Nigerian businessman and Chief Executive Officer of Lahmad Concept, Combs Luxury Unisex Salon, HairSense Unisex Salon, StaySense Apartment, DressSense Fashion, FoodSense, and AutoSense Chinese EV Cars, Alhaji Ahmad Lawal, has organised a special prayer session in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, in memory of his late father, Alhaji Ibrahim Ajani Lawal.

The solemn event, held at the Kwara Banquet Hall on Tuesday attracted a large gathering of family members, friends, business associates, community leaders, Islamic scholars, politicians, entertainers and well-wishers who came together to offer prayers for the repose of the deceased’s soul.

Alhaji Ibrahim Ajani Lawal passed away on May 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, humility and service to humanity.

The prayer gathering served as an opportunity for loved ones to reflect on his life and contributions while seeking Allah’s mercy and forgiveness on his behalf.

The event witnessed an impressive turnout of dignitaries from different walks of life, including renowned Nollywood actors such as veteran actor Yinka Quadri, popular actress Fausat Balogun, widely known as Madam Saje and celebrated Waka music icon Salawa Abeni.

Popular comedian and actor Cute Abiola and popular Television presenter, Adebayo Ọlamilekan Israel (Masoyinbo) were also among the notable personalities who attended the programme.

Special prayers and Qur’anic recitations were led by respected Islamic clerics, including Sheikh Abdullahi Olohunkemi Arademi and Sheikh Abdul Raheem Salaty Albaarizy, alongside other scholars who delivered sermons on the virtues of righteousness, the inevitability of death and the importance of preparing for the hereafter.

In their messages, the clerics urged attendees to emulate the good qualities of the late Alhaji Ibrahim Ajani Lawal, describing him as a man who lived a life of purpose and left lasting impacts on those around him.

They also encouraged family members to continue honouring his memory through acts of charity, prayers and service to humanity.

Speaking during the event, Alhaji Ahmad Lawal expressed appreciation to everyone who attended the prayer session and those who supported the family during their period of mourning.

He noted that the overwhelming show of love and solidarity was a testament to the respect and affection people had for him and his late father.

He prayed for Allah’s continued blessings upon all those who stood by the family and asked Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljanah Firdaus and eternal rest.

The gathering concluded with special prayers for the Lawal family, peace and prosperity in progress of everyone.
