The Emir of Ilorin has announced a special prayer session for the peace, unity, and prosperity of the Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and Nigeria, THE PRIME NEWS reports.

The prayer programme is scheduled to hold on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., and is expected to bring together religious leaders, traditional title holders, community leaders, government officials, and residents from across the emirate.

According to the announcement, the gathering is aimed at seeking Allah’s guidance, protection, and blessings for the continued peace, stability, and development of Kwara State and the nation at large.

The Emir called on members of the public to participate in the prayer session, urging them to join in offering prayers for the country’s leaders, citizens, and the overall progress of society.

The event is also expected to attract dignitaries and stakeholders from different parts of Kwara State, particularly within the Ilorin Emirate.

The announcement, signed by Dr. Abdulraheem Muritala, emphasized the importance of collective prayers in fostering peace, unity, and harmony among the people.

The special prayer session is in line with the emirate’s longstanding tradition of seeking divine intervention on issues affecting the state and the nation, particularly at critical moments requiring unity and spiritual reflection.
