Prominent traditional and community leaders in Ilorin have commended the Kwara State Police Command for its intelligence-driven approach to policing and the relative peace being experienced across the state.
The commendation was made when the Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Dr. Saliu Woru Mohammed, led a delegation of traditional chiefs and community leaders on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Ojo Adekimi, at the Command headquarters.

Describing CP Adekimi as a “Digital Police,” Dr. Mohammed attributed the improved security situation in the state to sustained intelligence gathering, proactive policing, technology-driven operations and effective collaboration among security agencies.

He specifically cited the recent rescue of kidnapped victims from Woro community as a significant security achievement, commending the strategic leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, the operational leadership of CP Adekimi and the cooperation of other security agencies in the state.
THE PRIME NEWS gathered that the delegation, which included the Kure of Ilorin, Ajia-Opele of Ilorin and Mogaji-Bamidele of Ilorin, acknowledged the relative peace across the state and praised the professionalism, responsiveness and dedication of security personnel in maintaining public safety.
Dr. Mohammed, a retired police officer and renowned spokesperson, stressed the importance of community participation in maintaining sustainable security.

He urged residents to provide the Police and other security agencies with timely, credible and actionable information to assist in crime prevention, detection and effective response.
Responding, CP Adekimi appreciated the delegation for its confidence in the state’s security architecture and assured residents that the Command would continue to strengthen intelligence-led operations, technology-driven policing, community engagement and strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
The Commissioner stressed that the relative peace in Kwara would not be taken for granted, assuring residents that the Police, in collaboration with other security agencies, would continue to strengthen preventive policing, close identified security gaps and maintain operational pressure on criminal networks.
He reiterated the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property and ensuring that residents across Kwara State continue to enjoy a safe and secure environment.
