Sardauna Title: Ilorin Emirate Secretary expresses appreciation

Ilorin Emirate Secretary, Alh. Sunmail Adetunji Lawal has expressed appriciation to everyone within and outside the Emirate, market women, different socio-cultural groups, artisans, youths, business concerns, palace workers, security Agencies and alike too numerous to mention who contributed in no small measure to the successful turbaning ceremony of the Sardauna Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, (CON), Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) on 16th Wednesday, September, 2026 at the magnificent palace of His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, the Emir of Ilorin, well attended by the ‘cream de la cream’ of the Ilorin Socio-economic political groups in the Emirate and many Royal Fathers across the State present.

“The informal sector makes the ceremony to be more significant by closing shops/markets across the Emirate to Honour the New Sardauna of Ilorin, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, (CON).

It was a befitting event that brought who is who in the Nigeria State including the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, who represented President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, “indeed it was very historic and remarkable”.

The Palace Administrator noticed the displayed of Ilorin hospitality and friendship by the people of Ilorin Emirate before, during and after the event to the August visitors who made it to the historic occasion.

“Your special love and admiration to the Royal Father is highly appreciated always”.

Alhaji Sunmail Adetunji Lawal on behalf of the frontline traditional ruler, the Emir of Ilorin who doubles as the Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR, thanked everyone who contributed in different ways in making the turbaning ceremony a huge success.

“Gbogbo omo Ilorin Elen faa… Esanu oo”, the Secretary concluded.
