Liverpool submit £110m official bid for Caicedo, Brighton set to accept

Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign the Ecuadorian, Moises Caicedo after submitting a British record fee of £110m, Medical to be done today if everything goes according to the plan.

The Reds have moved in quickly and have submitted a record fee of a £110M for the midfielder.

However, inside reports state that this wasn’t always the case as they were expected to bid £100m (£90m+£10m). The Ecuadorian has also reportedly agreed personal terms with the club as well.

The Reds were very much in the news for all the wrong reasons after failing to bid a whole £50m for Romeo Lavia. Moreover, the Reds were considering the fee set by the Saints to be too much.

This was after their third bid to secure the Belgian’s signing was rejected which was reportedly around £46m.

This sent a wave of disappointment among Liverpool fans who questioned the club’s decision to not spend an extra £4m on their long-term target.

Now the fans could feel confident about the club’s goals for the season and know that Klopp isn’t messing around.

After a poor season last time out, Klopp wants to get back to being the fierce competitors they once were.

After this news broke, it has taken the internet by storm and Liverpool fans are elated. It was only 2 days since the Reds re-entered the race to sign Caicedo. Now, however, they have outbid Chelsea to sign the player.

Now, with the Merseysiders spending a hefty £110m on Caicedo, the question needs to be asked whether they would have the funds for Lavia as well.

If they manage to get Lavia too, they could be well-sorted in midfield for more than a couple of seasons.

However, it would be interesting to see how the German would deploy the Ecuadorian in the PL opener.
