Emir of Ilorin: A Peacemaker at 86

The Ilorin Emirate Secretary and trusted aide to His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR, Alhaji Sunmail Adetunji Lawal have congratulated His Royal Highness on his 86th birthday anniversary today 22nd April, 2026.

The Secretary commended the Emir for his exceptional leadership and commitment to making Ilorin and environs a positive point of reference in all spheres of socio-political and economic development, “He is a Royal Father who preach peace and stable political life in the state and nationally”.

The Palace Secretary extend his best wishes to the natural ruler and entire Ilorin Emirate plus the people/residents of the State of Harmony.

On this joyous occasion while wishing the Royal Father many more years of happiness, commend him to continue being that resourceful and peace loving monarch that he always been “he noted”.

The Palace Administrator urged the entire emirate to continue to pray for the Monarch who is currently out of the country on vacation, “the Royal Father is a quintessential personality who have touched lives of millions of people both within and outside Ilorin Emirate. He has embarked on self-services and initiating educational and economic development that creates employment opportunities for the youths”, he noted.

Alhaji Sunmail Adetunji Lawal explained that the Royal Father doubles as the Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs who parades a reflection of royalty, merit and excellence in the last three decades while contributing steadily to peace building efforts in Kwara State, “indeed Maimaritaba, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR, Emir of Ilorin is a first class traditional ruler with distinction whose reign has witness sporadic socio-economic development and stable political life, Ilorin Emirate Secretary, Alhaji Sunmail Adetunji Lawal concluded.
