Wale Sulaiman reaffirms loyalty to APC, backs Party’s position on Kwara governorship process

A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Wale Sulaiman, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the ruling party and declared support for the party’s position regarding the forthcoming governorship process in the state, THE PRIME NEWS reports.

In a statement addressed to Kwarans on Wednesday, Prof. Sulaiman said his decision followed extensive consultations with leaders of the APC in Kwara State, including meetings with the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and President Bola Tinubu.

The renowned neurosurgeon and philanthropist noted that leadership should be defined by service, purpose and commitment to the people rather than personal ambition.

According to him, his years of public service in healthcare, humanitarian interventions, youth empowerment and community development have always been guided by the desire to create opportunities and improve lives across Kwara State.

Prof. Sulaiman explained that his interactions with residents across the three senatorial districts inspired the vision behind the “Kwara Prosperity Agenda,” which he described as a development-driven initiative aimed at promoting inclusiveness and equal opportunities for all.

He stated that after consultations with party leaders, he had resolved to align fully with the APC’s direction concerning the governorship process, stressing the need for party discipline, institutional respect and unity.

“As a loyal party man who believes strongly in discipline, institutional respect, party supremacy and the unity of our great party, I have taken the decision to fully support the direction and position of the APC regarding the forthcoming governorship process,” he said.

He also urged his supporters across Kwara North, Kwara Central and Kwara South to remain peaceful, united and committed to the success of the APC.

The APC chieftain expressed appreciation to party faithful, youths, women, professionals, artisans, elders and grassroots mobilisers who supported his political movement and shared in the vision for a prosperous Kwara State.

He maintained that the movement built around the Kwara Prosperity Agenda would continue to evolve beyond political contests, describing it as a collective pursuit anchored on unity, competence, integrity and sustainable development.

Prof. Sulaiman further called on party members to approach the APC governorship primaries with maturity, discipline and a shared commitment to sustaining the progress recorded in the state.

He added that true leadership requires sacrifice, wisdom and the ability to place collective interest above personal ambition, stressing that the peace, stability and future of Kwara State must always come first.
