Special Assistants to the Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the administration of the council chairman, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, citing what they described as his commitment to transparent, inclusive and people-centred governance.

The declaration followed a closed-door meeting held on Saturday, where the aides also reaffirmed their support for the administration of Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and endorsed the governorship ambition of Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement jointly signed by Hon Babatunde Jamiu Akano (Works and Infrastructure); Hon. Rasaq Alabi Olarinoye (Chieftaincy Matters); Hon Kamal Omotunde (Land Matters); Hon Kamoru Jimoh (Transport); Hon Nike Ayilara (Women Mobilization); Hon Rasheed Shuaib (Agriculture and Natural Resources); Hon Rasheed Owolabi (Education and Social Development); Hon Toyin Abdullahi (Medical and Health Services); Hon Akeem Yinka Nurudeen (Revenue Mobilization); Hon Segun Oluwaponle (Legislative Matters); Hon Kazeem Ayuba (Media and Communication) and Hon Jodi Ahmed (S.A Office of the Chairman), the officials described Femi Yusuf’s leadership as one that has restored confidence in local government administration through prudent resource management, grassroots engagement and consultative governance.

According to them, the chairman has recorded notable achievements in rural infrastructure, education support, primary healthcare, agriculture, youth and women empowerment, as well as the provision of security gadgets and motorcycles to strengthen security operations across the local government.

The aides noted that Femi Yusuf’s open-door leadership style and prompt response to security challenges have ensured that government remains accessible and responsive to the needs of residents in every ward and community.

They also commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for what they described as his transformative leadership across Kwara State, highlighting improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, education and civil service welfare.

The Special Assistants stated that Ifelodun Local Government has benefited immensely from the governor’s development initiatives and pledged their continued alignment with his vision for a more prosperous Kwara.

On the 2027 governorship race, the group threw its weight behind Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, describing him as a worthy successor capable of sustaining the developmental strides of the present administration.

They said Danladi’s legislative experience, leadership qualities and understanding of grassroots governance make him well-positioned to consolidate the achievements of the AbdulRazaq administration while expanding development opportunities across the state.

Reaffirming their commitment, the aides pledged their unflinching loyalty to Femi Yusuf, Governor AbdulRazaq and Danladi, promising to mobilise support for the APC and engage stakeholders in promoting policies that will improve the welfare of the people.

They also called on party faithful, community leaders and residents of Ifelodun and Kwara State to remain united behind the leadership of the APC, expressing confidence that continuity in governance would guarantee sustained growth and development across the state.

The statement was jointly signed by the Special Assistants on Works and Infrastructure, Chieftaincy Matters, Land Matters, Transport, Women Mobilisation, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Education and Social Development, Medical and Health Services, Revenue Mobilisation, Legislative Matters, Media and Communication, as well as the Office of the Chairman.
