…applauds Gov AbdulRazaq’s investment in education
An expert in building construction in Kwara State, Engr. Bioye Babatunde has applauded the many investments and commitments of Kwara State Governor and Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the education sector of the state.
Engr. Babatunde made this known during a chat with selected newsmen in Ilorin on Tuesday.

The renowned Engineer pointed out the massive interventions in the primary and secondary education through the State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) and other government parastatals responsible for this section of the education sector across nooks and crannies of the State of Harmony.
Babatunde, also applauded the huge investments of the State government to the tertiary institutions in the state, particularly the newly approved Kwara State University of Education, Ilorin which the National Universities Commission (NUC) recently gave the go-ahead for operations.
While speaking on the existing tertiary institutions in the State, Engr. Babatunde sought the need for all these higher learning institutions to be properly managed by having Governing Boards assigned to all of them.
He said with this step in place, the Board, who are the representatives of the Governor in such institutions, will help guide the leadership and headship of the various institutions in achieving the set goals of the administration.
He added that, though the Governor has appointed Governing Board to see to the affairs of the Kwara State University, Malete, as he enjoined the Governor to do same for Kwara State Polytechnic (Kwara Poly) and others yet to be appointed their Governing Board.
He concluded the step will go a long way in ensuring the government and its investments in such institutions are well managed and monitored through which desired results for our tomorrow (wards) can proudly be referenced.
He also applauded the energetic contributions of the Commissioners for Education and Human Capital Development and that of Tertiary Institutions in charge of the sectors, noting that all parastatals and agencies of government in this sector are shared under their ministries.
