Let’s embrace dialogue and mutual understanding – Lawal

The Ilorin Emirate Secretary who doubles as a Private Aide to the Emir, Alhaji Sunmail Adetunji Lawal has appreciated Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) leadership for averting a total shutdown of medical services and its activities Nationwide while giving two (2) weeks of grace to the Federal Government to do the needful.

Speaking in his office at the Emir’s Palace, Oja-Oba, Ilorin, Alhaji Adetunji Lawal advised that Labour Unions should embrace dialogue and mutual understanding in resolving any industrial actions/disputes in asking for their rights.

The Palace Secretary charged them to remain committed, loyal and selfless to the service of humanity, the State and Nation as a whole.

“Most of our doctors have travelled abroad seeking greener pasture. The few ones in the Country should please see their services as selfless and very important”,he advised.

He stated further, “Our focused is to deliver a wide range of services to the populace tailored towards promoting excellence in their profession and making medical services readily available to the masses”, he emphasized.

Alhaji Adetunji Lawal, an administrator who has an enduring impact and broader service to the society appealed to the Federal Government to see that the working condition of doctors in the Country is improved and medical facilities should be made available in all our hospitals in the country while training and re-training programmes in and outside Nigeria should be put in place to improve their capacity and more professionals in the health sector should be employed to make their services readily available at short distance nationwide, he concluded.
