Engr. Olaniyan applauds new Military battalion in Kwara South, commends Gov. AbdulRazaq on security efforts

An All Progressives Congress (APC), House of Representatives aspirant for Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, Engr. Azeez Abiodun Olaniyan, has applauded the establishment of a new Military Battalion in Kwara South Senatorial District.

In a statement issued on Thursday and made available to newsmen, Engr. Olaniyan described the development as a strategic and timely intervention by the Federal Government to strengthen security architecture in Kwara South.

He said the new battalion will help to curb criminal activities, protect lives and property and restore peace in border communities and along major highways.

“I sincerely appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for approving the siting of the new Army battalion in Kwara South.

This decision demonstrates the administration’s commitment to securing every part of Nigeria and ensuring that citizens can go about their lawful businesses without fear,” the APC chieftain stated.

Engr. Olaniyan also commended the relentless efforts of Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, in tackling insecurity across the state.

He noted that the Governor’s proactive engagement with security agencies, provision of operational support and advocacy for more federal security presence have been instrumental in keeping Kwara relatively safe.

According to him, insecurity has continued to threaten farming, education and commerce in some parts of Kwara South.

He expressed optimism that with the new military formation on ground, farmers will return to their farms, investors will have more confidence and communities will experience improved safety and economic growth.

The House of Reps aspirant urged residents of Ifelodun, Offa, Oyun and other LGAs in Kwara South to cooperate with the military and other security agencies by providing timely and credible information.

He pledged to continue advocating for more developmental and security projects that will benefit the people of Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency when given the mandate or call upon to serve.
