Kwara NSCDC deploys personnel for Osun Governorship election, charges Officers on professional conduct

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has deployed personnel to Osun State to support security operations ahead of the governorship election scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The deployment is part of the Corps’ efforts to maintain peace, protect lives and property, and provide a secure environment for residents to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

This was contain in a statement was signed by CDPRO, Kwara State Command, ASC I Ayoola Michael Shola.

Speaking to the deployed personnel before their departure on Monday, the Kwara State Commandant, Commandant Abbas Nda Mohammed, charged them to discharge their responsibilities with discipline, professionalism and integrity.

Mohammed reminded the officers that election duties require patience, fairness and sound judgment, urging them to remain neutral and respect the rights of all citizens throughout the assignment.

He warned the personnel against actions capable of creating tension or undermining public confidence in the electoral and security process.

The Commandant further directed the officers to remain vigilant throughout the operation and maintain effective collaboration with other security agencies and relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination.

He urged them to respond promptly to security concerns within the limits of the law while treating members of the public with respect and courtesy.

Mohammed expressed confidence in the professionalism of the deployed personnel and urged them to uphold the good reputation of the NSCDC throughout the election assignment.

He also charged them to remain committed to their responsibilities and return safely after a successful operation.

The deployment underscores the NSCDC’s commitment to supporting a peaceful and secure electoral process in Osun State.
