Ilorin Emirate Secretary task youths on peace, tolenrance, digital education

Ilorin Emirate Secretary and a trusted Aide to the Emir, Alhaji Sunmail Adetunji Lawal, has urged youths to live in peace with one another and be careful of being used by disgruntled politicians ahead of the 2027 general elections, rather, they should imbibe digital literacy to make them relevant in the scheme of things.

The Palace Administrator made this call recently in a media chat with journalist in his Oja-Oba Office at the Magnificent Palace. He observed peace as a necessary requirement for the development of any society.

“I want to assure the youths if they listen to elderly advice, they will not go astray it will enable them succeed. I also want to call on our youths to embrace peace at all times, as peace is priceless and non-negotiable”, he said.

He also called on them and other citizens to be law abiding, respect constituted authority and continue to tolerate one and another, irrespective of their ethnic and religions affiliation.

Alh. Adetunji Lawal charged the youths to overhaul digital skills, “Nigeria’s digital education transformation must go beyond procurement of computers and other hardware.

He charged those without internet access at home, should work hard to be computer literate, this is a major barriers to digital teaching and learning, charging them to be prepared for a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, automation, renewable energy, biotechnology digital finance and global competitions, assuring that with absolute computer literacy they can start something economically meaningful on their own and live a prosperous lifestyle, Alhaji Adetunji Lawal concluded.
